CARA PEMELIHARAAN

Pemilihan Kawasan

Pemilihan kawasan untuk menjalankan pemeliharaan adalah penting. Kawasan-kawasan yang dipilih sepatutnya:-

Mempunyai tempat teduh dan redup seperti pokok-pokok besar dan juga pokok yang boleh dijadikan pemecah angin.

Kawasan tanah yang tinggi dan dataran serta mempunyai sistem pengaliran air dan udara yang baik.

Jauh dari jalan raya yang sibuk.

Sistem Pengurusan

Di antara sistem pengurusan pemeliharaan kambing adalah:

Sistem Berkurung (intensif)

Sistem ini memerlukan perumahan yang sempurna, kerana kambing tidak dilepaskan meragut. Makanan dan minuman terpaksalah dibawa kepada mereka setiap hari iaitu konsentrat, rumput dan garam jilat. Kebiasaannya, sistem pemeliharaan begini diamalkan oleh penternak-penternak yang tidak mempunyai kawasan ragut atau untuk ibu-ibu kambing yang akan beranak dan selepas beranak dan juga bagi kambing jantan baka. Oleh kerana kambing tidak dilepas langsung, kemungkinan jangkitan penyakit adalah tinggi. Oleh itu, kandang hendaklah sentiasa bersih dan kering. Selain daripada itu, kambing senang diawasi untuk tujuan rawatan dan pengesanan penyakit.

Sistem Separuh Berkurung (Semi-intensif)

Pemeliharaan kambing secara sistem ini dilakukan dengan melepaskan kambing pada siang hari dan dikurung di dalam kandang pada waktu malam. Sistem ini mempunyai faedah di mana selain daripada perlindungan pada malam hari dan dari cuaca yang buruk, ianya juga memberi kebebasan untuk meragut rumput dan herba-herba yang lebih baik. Cara ini juga memberi kesempatan kepada anak kambing untuk bersenam dan mendapatkan cahaya matahari yang secukupnya. Pemeriksaan terhadap penyakit boleh dijalankan apabila kambing-kambing ini masuk ke kandang pada petang hari.

Sistem Ragut Lepas

Sistem ragut lepas ini boleh dijalankan jika terdapat kawasan ragutan yang luas. Kambing-kambing ini tidak disimpan di dalam kandang tetapi dibiarkan meragut sepanjang masa. Walaupun menternak cara begini tidak memakan belanja yang banyak untuk membuat kandang dan sebagainya, ianya tidak digalakkan. Ini adalah kerana kambing ini boleh merayau dan merosakkan tanaman jiran. Di samping itu juga, pengawasan terhadap ternakan juga adalah rumit kerana tuan empunya tidak dapat melihat ternakannya setiap masa.

RINGKASAN

Kawasan yang dipilih untuk pemeliharaan kambing mestilah strategik iaitu redup (banyak pokok-pokok besar), di kawasan yang tinggi, jauh dari jalanraya yang sibuk dan sebagainya. Terdapat 3 cara pengurusan dalam pemeliharaan kambing iaitu sistem berkurung, separuh berkurung dan ragut lepas.

USD/CAD ANALYSIS

Technical:

Price action has finally broken impulsively lower, with USD/CAD now trading well below the well defined hourly channel base (1.0650), and below the 21-day MA at 1.0660. For now, look for a further extension lower, with solid support expected in the 1.0590-1.0600 window, and again at 1.0560. A break above 1.0685 is now needed to negate the short-term bullish CAD view. Daily MACD still USD supportive, although the daily RSI has broken lower. Until 1.0660 breaks, favour new cycle lows.

Option:

Buying did continue this morning although did subside by the end of the day. 1 week was paid as high as 8.6% on the open, and 1 month trading at 7.6%, down to 7.5% later in the afternoon. 3 month traded down to 7.05% and 6 month traded at 6.8%. Overnights were better bid on the open, trading at 13% for 1.0600 strikes and down to 11% later in the afternoon.

Prognosis:

Today’s break of recent stubborn upward channel opens another leg lower for Funds. With recent covering of long Canada positions over the past couple of months we look for less resistance to further Canada gains. We look for the base of a long term channel off Nov ’04 and June ’06 lows at 1.0400 as target for this leg lower. We look to trade from a short USD position looking to add on a minor pull back to 1.0610 and again at 25 looking for initial support at 1.0550. We doubt the move lower will have the momentum of the spring Cad rally, so we look to job the anticipated move lower. Back above 1.0665 and look to exit any USD shorts.

Vols. moved higher again today with interest seen across the whole curve. 1 month traded at 7.1% ending the day at 7.2/7.4%. 2 month traded at 6.75%, also closing better bid, and 1 year was paid at 6.5% on the close. 15 day 1.0750’s traded at 7.55%, 2 week 1.08’s at 7.45%, and 1 week 1.0735 at 7.5%. Monday 1.0725s traded at 6.3% and overnights remained fairly steady throughout the day trading at 9.5% on the close.

PROGNOSIS:
Mixed sentiment for Canada from this writer with Canada closing within our stubborn consolidation channel but closing above the downward channel from 1.18 highs. With markets generally unable to sustain breaks of any significance in almost everything recently why should Canada be any different? We look to trade from a modest short USD position looking to add on a minor rally to 1.0760 with a tight stop above 1.0780 looking for a dip back to 1.0705 to take profit.

PruBSN to fortify local takaful business



KUALA LUMPUR: Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN), the sixth takaful company in Malaysia, will in the next couple of years embark on initiatives to strengthen its presence in the local market before going regional.

Chief executive officer Mohamad Salihuddin Ahmad said the next two years would be the foundation-building phase where the company would focus and fortify its position in the Malaysian takaful business.

“For our regional expansion, we will leverage on Prudential's network and expertise in 11 other countries in Asia and adopt the best practices available in these countries.

“But to do that, PruBSN will have to embark on initiatives to strengthen its takaful business in the local market before it leapfrogs overseas,'' he said in an interview.

PruBSN is a 49:51 joint venture between Prudential Corp Holding Ltd and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).

One of the company's major initiatives in capturing the local Islamic insurance market would be in trying to educate the public that takaful was not meant only for Muslim policyholders, he noted.

By changing the mindset of the public and incorporating Prudential BSN's corporate values of TRUST, Salihuddin said he was confident it would help the public better understand the importance in having Islamic insurance coverage.

TRUST is the abbreviation for Trustworthy, Respect, Understanding, Smile and Teamwork. He added to date the company had more than 5,000 agents, which about 60% were non-Muslims.

PruBSN which began operations in August, currently had more than 13,000 policyholders – of which again close to 60% were non-Muslims, Salihuddin said.

By having a mixed composition of agents, he said the company wanted to project the message that syariah-compliant insurance was for all races and not a religious investment instrument.

He added that the market for takaful in Malaysia had great growth potential as its penetration rate currently was only close to 5.6% compared with about 40% for life insurance.

On the company's projected growth rate, Salihuddin said in the next three to five years, it was expecting a double-digit compounded annual growth rate.

Another initiative which the company was looking at to strengthen its foothold in the local market was bancatakaful.

He said Prudential's global network and expertise, coupled with BSN's 382 branches and eight million customers, would help the company's takaful business grow moving forward.

European stocks end mostly lower

LONDON (AP) - European stocks ended mostly lower Monday, despite merger-and-acquisition activity including Akzo Nobel's long-anticipated move for rival paint producer Imperial Chemical Industries.

The U.K.'s FTSE 100 declined 0.4 percent to 6,703.50, the French CAC 40 declined 0.3 percent to 60.87.15.

The German DAX 30 rose 0.1 percent to 8,036.12.

ICI soared 15.6 percent after spurning a takeover approach from Akzo Nobel, which dropped 1 percent on concerns it may increase its offer for the Dulux paints producer.

Other chemicals companies advanced, including BASF, up 2.2 percent, and Clariant, up 0.8 percent.

BHP Billiton rose 0.8 percent after a report in the Times of London that the world's top miner has revived plans for a US$40 billion (euro29.9 billion) takeover of aluminum bellwether Alcoa.

Shares of Adecco gained 2.3 percent after it unveiled a deal to buy Germany's Tuja in a deal valued at euro800 million (US$1.07 billion) including assumed debt.

Adecco said the German temporary-staffing market is only 1 percent penetrated.

Pearson, owner of the Financial Times, edged 1.3 percent lower after a Wall Street Journal report that it and General Electric Co. are considering a joint offer for Dow Jones, the owner of the Journal.

Analysts at UBS backed the rationale behind such a combination.

"Combining of the WSJ/FT would create a global leader in financial press and the combining IDC/DJ Newswires would create a significant player in the mid-tier of the financial information market,'' the broker said.

Pearson counts a 62 percent stake in Interactive Data Corp. among its other assets.

Heineken dropped 1.4 percent as Merrill Lynch downgraded the brewer to neutral from buy, saying it doesn't expect the company to benefit from a large M&A deal and noting the stock trades at 20 times its 2007 adjusted earnings-per-share guidance.

The broker liked other brewers, however.

SABMiller shares rose 1.4 percent after Merrill upgraded it to buy from neutral, citing its strong position in emerging markets.

Merrill also said a deal between Carlsberg and Scottish & Newcastle looks "inevitable,'' prompting an upgrade of the Scottish brewer's shares.

Scottish & Newcastle hit a new annual high, adding 0.7 percent, and B-class Carlsberg shares rose 1.7 percent.

Shares in iSoft rose 6.5 percent after Computer Sciences agreed not to block the software firm from being acquired by Australia's IBA, reversing an earlier stance.

Shares of Tullow Oil jumped 12.5 percent after saying it made a significant discovery offshore of Ghana.

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 Jun (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi berkata, Malaysia tidak seharusnya "terlalu menyekat" kemasukan pekerja mahir terutamanya dalam sektor strategik memandangkan ia akan memberi faedah kepada negara.

Perdana Menteri berkata beliau percaya penduduk Malaysia yang bekerja akan mendapat faedah daripada interaksi yang lebih luas dengan tenaga mahir dari luar.

"Sudah tentu, kita boleh meningkatkan diri kita sekiranya kita bekerja dan belajar dengan mereka yang berkemahiran," kata beliau dalam ucapannya yang bertemakan "Menoleh Ke belakang, Mara Ke hadapan: 50 tahun Perniagaan di Malaysia" pada majlis makan malam Kelab Perniagaan Kuala Lumpur.

Bagi mendapatkan pekerja mahir, beliau berkata Malaysia seharusnya membantu pelajar asing yang mahir untuk terus tinggal selepas tamat pengajian.

Abdullah berkata Malaysia perlu mendapat faedah daripada aliran modal insan sejagat.

"Saya percaya profesional Malaysia boleh setanding di kalangan kumpulan yang berkemahiran di peringkat global dan mereka kekal pekerja pilihan oleh perniagaan di Malaysia.

"Ini tidak semestinya konflik dengan dasar menarik lebih banyak pekerja asing berpengetahuan ke negara kita," katanya. "

Treasure in trash

You’d be surprised what can be done with things that you would usually throw away without a second thought.

ENTERING a bookstore in South Jakarta, my eye is caught by a burst of colour in a corner. When I take a closer look, I discover funky looking makeup pouches, pencil cases, book covers, passport holders and laptop and sling bags – all made out of the packaging of well known brands of household products! I can’t help but smile as I recognise the packaging from my detergent on a pencil case....

There’s another reason to smile over these products that make use of discarded packaging: Currently, Jakarta generates approximately 28,000cu m of trash a day; the World Bank estimates that this will almost double, to approximately 50,000cu m a day, by 2010 (Kompas, Sept 16, 2006). This city – like most large cities today – desperately needs to reduce the amount of trash that ends up in its landfills.


The XSProject Foundation in Jakarta help train economically disadvantaged women to generate income by training them to make unique products from discarded plastic packaging.
Which is why I’m delighted to meet the people at the XSProject Foundation, producer of those ingenious products. Founder, artist and environmentalist Ann Wiser enthusiastically explains the four-year-old foundation’s ideas.

The first idea is to reduce the volume of non-recyclable plastic trash in Jakarta by re-using it. The foundation buys waste from the city’s trash pickers to stop it from ending up in landfills. Says the foundation’s daily operations manager, Yuniar Wulandari (aka Uni), “There are 80,000 tonnes of flexible plastic packaging manufactured each year in Indonesia. The average use of a single-use drink container made from this material is only four seconds. After that, it may sit in a landfill forever.”



Most people do not know that this type of plastic is not recyclable, so it doesn’t have a market value – no one is interested in buying and re-using it so it will just end up in the dump. And manufacturers still use it for their packaging because it is cheaper. As a result, the amount of non-biodegradable plastic trash in the city’s dumps is increasing.

Not bad for products made from trash! And they’re unique, too.
Another of the foundation’s ideas and a major part of its mission is to reduce poverty. Which is why it buys that waste from the city’s trash pickers at above the market price and then trains women from lower income groups to produce those funky products from it. For this activity, XSProject collaborates with a small NGO, Yayasan Kampung Kids, which provides training on how to make high quality handmade products, sewing techniques as well as designing patterns.

Another part of the foundation’s mission is to raise awareness about environmental issues, especially among children. It works with several schools, from the elementary to junior high school levels, on this. Says Uni, “We start by giving them a shock therapy: showing a video of the environmental damage caused by trash.”

They then share information on where the plastic trash comes from, what the kids can do to reduce its volume and how to manage waste by sorting it into different types – glass, plastic, metal, paper, etc – that can be recycled or re-used.

The foundation’s project manager in charge of raising awareness in schools, Adit, then explains that, “We show them what can be made out of the non-biodegradable trash. Then we try to involve them by asking them to bring their own packaging wastes to the school. We provide several trash bins in each school. Students can throw the plastic waste from home into the XSProject trash bin.

“The children get excited when they see XSProject’s products. They feel involved in the whole project and they are proud to use pencil cases or bags that are made of the trash that they bring to the school,” Adit says enthusiastically.

Adds Uni, “We want to make people look good and feel good at the same time when using our products. All profits from the sales go to the foundation to fund our programmes to increase the standard of living of the disadvantaged as well as to raise awareness on reducing plastic trash in the city.”

Saya pun terlibat jugak...asal suka-suka je tapi selepas join Kelab MOCfx, jadi serius player pulak.
Agak sedih jugalah result trade forex x konsisten. Namun begitu terima kasih kepada sifu-sifu di MOCfx yg sudi memberi tunjuk ajar and teknik -teknik yg berkesan kepada saya..
Today usd/jpy belum menetapkan lgi halatuju..uptrend or downtrend...
But i'm away from market....
Minggu ni agak besar loss saya penangan usd/cad but....
Minggu depan saya akan buat comeback di arena forex...
Dengan keazaman tinggi and disiplin diri yang lebih mantapp

Ini anak saya nombor 2, Maisarah namanya, dia ni dah tak sabar menunggu kehadiran adiknya.
Cari gambar anak sulung Mardhiah , tak jumpa pulak...takpelah nanti saya upload kemudian..
InsyaAllah isteri saya akan bersalin pada 24/06/07 ni...
Saya pun dah tak sabar menanti anak ke-3..."menghitung hari"
Doakan agar isteri saya selamat melahirkan anak...AMINNN
